Experience Terms & Conditions

We wish to advise you of the following:
Age restrictions:
Big Cat Encounter  – experience holder and participants must be aged 16 years & over
Ranger Days  – participants must be aged 18 years & over

Photography Workshops:  minimum age 16 years

Photographs: All BCS website and social media images are protected by copyright. Unauthorised use prohibited. Please contact photography@thebigcatsanctuary.org for image licensing enquiries or when booking a professional 1-1 Photography Workshop.

Expiry Dates: The experience expiry date is printed on e-gift codes and vouchers, please check the date as it is essential that experiences are booked and taken before this. Routinely voucher codes are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase; however, this may alter with special promotions.
Rescheduling Policy
In the event that you request reschedule your booking the following charges are applied:
• 7 or more days in advance – £25
• 2 – 6 days in advance – £75
• 1 day prior to the event and on the day – £125
In the event of circumstances beyond our control, we will arrange to reschedule your experience free of charge; you will be given as much warning as possible. The Big Cat Sanctuary cannot be held liable for any costs including (but not limited to) travel expenses or pre-booked accommodation costs incurred by the participant in the event of a cancellation.
Cancellation Policy
In the event that you request reschedule your booking the following charges are applied:

• 2 – 6 days in advance – £75
• 1 day prior to the event and on the day lose all monies/no refund

Refunds are at our discretion and any request for a refund must be made in writing. Refunds will not be made to the user or any third party. Refunds are always made to the person who purchased the experience, and if originally purchased by credit card, the refund will be credited to the same card. If the card has expired you will need to request a refund in writing, quoting details of a new credit card.

Refunds will incur an administration fee of 15% of the price paid.

Privacy Policy – We do not store credit card details nor do we share financial details with any 3rd parties

The Big Cat Lodge & Safari Experience
We wish to advise you of the following:
Age restrictions:
Minimum age requirement, owing to health & safety, 13 years (those between the ages of 13 and 16 will have an assisted hand feed – limited access to the full experience)

DOGS: Unfortunately, due to the nature of our Sanctuary and the fact that our primary objective is a stress free environment for our cats, no dogs are allowed on site.

Cancellation and rescheduling Policy; in the event that you should have to cancel/reschedule your booking the following charges are applied:

In the event that you may need to change your date and re-book the following charges are applied:
 3 months or more prior to your stay, an administration fee of £25
 Within 7 days to 3 months of your stay, an administration fee of £100
 2 to 7 days prior to your stay an administration fee of £300
 On the day all monies lost

In the event you wish to cancel your lodge stay the following charges are applied:

 3 months or more prior to your stay an administration fee of £25
 7 days to 3 months prior to your stay, lose 25% of total
 Up to 7 days prior to your stay lose 50% of total
 Cancellation on the day all monies lost

Education Bookings

Regarding educational bookings, it is imperative that payments are remitted within two weeks of receiving the invoice. After this period, the payments will be deemed overdue, and we retain the discretion to terminate your scheduled visit. Please note that we cannot accommodate on-site visits or outreach engagements until full payment has been received. Education visits not paid in full 10 days before the scheduled date of visit will be cancelled. Should you need to reschedule or cancel your educational session, kindly inform us at education@thebigcatsanctuary.org.

In the event you wish to cancel your Education Session the following charges are applied:

Up to 14 days prior to your visit, lose 25% of total
Up to 7 days prior to your stay lose 50% of total
Cancellation on the day all monies lost

In the event of circumstances beyond our control, The Big Cat Sanctuary will arrange to reschedule your Education Session free of charge; you will be given as much warning as possible.

The Big Cat Sanctuary cannot be held liable for any costs including (but not limited to) travel expenses or pre-booked accommodation costs (with other providers) incurred by the participant in the event of a cancellation.
